I am a wounded junk yard veteran now :) On Saturday morning, I was at a junkyard with my Fairhill Photography Meet-up Group friends. The place was huge, muddy and of course full of junk of all sorts, mainly vehicles. Towards the end of my photo shoot, I got stuck by a rusty metal wire; ended up going to a medical center, was given a tetanus shot, an antibiotic and wound care instructions. Even so, I am glad I went; I got some neat shots there.

The Charming Aura of the Urbia - Scenes from New York & Philadelphia ~~~ Part of Face of a City Series
No matter where in the world, big cities have the same characteristics that exude an aura of charm in the urbia. As a person who grew up in a big city, I often find myself missing that atmosphere, those simple things like taking a stroll on the streets, waiting for the light to turn to cross the street, browsing through the window displays, stopping at the corner store, buying flowers from a street vendor, taking the subway, just blending with the crowd and walk. I try to visit the close by cities to get a touch of home a bit. Recently, I was in Philadelphia and New York and I walked and walked and walked and shot the people who walked on the streets. I even crossed the Brooklyn Bridge on foot.
