I do not know why I am drawn to the moving water. Is it the sound of the falling water or its free flow gliding through the rocks with such relaxed yet determined attitude to find its path. I would not dare to freeze that moment so when I capture it, I always slow it down as much as I can to allow it carry forward smoothly, effortlessly. When you look at it, I would want you to be caressed by the sense of serenity.
Brandywine River by Brecks Mill. The water level was pretty low but the golden morning light hand in hand with the morning fog was just amazing,
This batch is my very first one of 2010. It was around 5:00 p.m., I was on my way home from North Wilmington area and decided to make a quick turn onto Rt. 141 South to go down to the mills. I had a sudden urge to shoot. It was such a random decision. I am glad I did it :)
I finally upgraded my circular palorizer and neutral density filters last week. One morning, before I got to work, I drove by Walker's Mill to test them. I am quite happy with the result.
You may see more of the Walker's Mill photos in "Fall scenery around Wilmington - DE" post.
I took this one at Walker's Mill by Hagley. It was a long exposure and I hoped that the heron would stay still until I completed the shot and I think he heard me! :)
