Early fall of the first snow of winter of 2009. Our back yard. It was coming down heavyly with wind so I did not want to risk getting the camera wet; I took this one thru the backyard patio door. I am hoping that tomorow it will be okay to go out & shoot.

Walker's Mill

I finally upgraded my circular palorizer and neutral density filters last week. One morning, before I got to work, I drove by Walker's Mill to test them. I am quite happy with the result.

You may see more of the Walker's Mill photos in "Fall scenery around Wilmington - DE" post.

Fort Delaware

Book recommendation

I am a member of Delaware Photographic Society. http://www.delawarephotographicsociety.org/\
This past Monday, Joe Rossbach was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting. He is a self taught nature & landscape photographer. I was at his lecture last year as well. I enjoy his work and appreciate the valuable information he shares. He is with the Mountain Trail Photo team. http://www.mountaintrailphoto.com/ That day, I purchased a book "The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography" put together by that team. It is pretty good; you will find awesome photographs along with some highly useful photography tips in it. I consider it to be a great addition to my library.

Book Recommendation

Understanding Exposure - written by Bryan Peterson
http://www.slrphotographyguide.com/books/understanding-exposure.shtml

I have this book and it has been quite helpful.

For my daughter . . . I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart

i carry your heart with me
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

New York Scenes

Some of the shots were taken at Liberty Park in Jersey City where you may get a spectacular view of the New York skyline.
